2008 House Bill 2421 (Providing incentives to support renewable solar energy)

  • Introduced by Rep. Maralyn Chase, (D-Shoreline) on January 14, 2008, this act creates incentives to promote commercial renewable energy sources that are produced locally. Funds generated from the carbon tax would be used to reimburse these new renewable energy sources for their costs.
    • Referred to the House Technology, Energy, and Communications Committee on January 14, 2008.
      • Substitute offered in the House on February 5, 2008, this act creates incentives to promote commercial renewable energy sources that are produced locally. The subsitute bill removes the funding that would have been generated from a carbon tax. The substitute passed in the House by voice vote on February 5, 2008.
    • Referred to the House Appropriations Committee on February 6, 2008.

Olympia is out of touch....I read that the 10 year effect on us pions will be in excess of 8 B as in Billion dollars!!! When will they stop taxing us and "feeing" us to the poor house!?! P.S. there is no global warming in Anartica...The ice a caps are growing!!

This is rediculous. It's just another huge tax. Don't you idiots get it? We are being squeezed to death by fuel costs, inflation at the grocery store and taxes. Pass some laws that make sense..
