2007 House Bill 1477: Regulating house-banked social card games.
Introduced by Rep. Steve Conway (South Tacoma) (D) on January 19, 2007
To limit the number and location of house-banked card rooms. The bill would prohibit the Washington State Gambling Commission from issuing additional house-banked card room licenses. Existing card-rooms would still be allowed to operate subject to local laws. Existing card-room owners could sell or transfer their business to another entity, or relocate to another jurisdiction that does not have any local prohibitions. See companion SB 5558.   Official Text and Analysis.
