2007 House Bill 1479: Exempting transfer students from military families from certain prerequisites for earning a certificate of academic achievement.
Introduced by Rep. Sherry Appleton (Poulsbo) (D) on January 22, 2007
To exempt certain students of military families from the Washington State requirement of earning a certificate of academic achievement to graduate high school. The student must transfer to a Washington high school after the 9th grade as a result of their parent’s or guardian’s military duty assignment. The legislation would not preclude a military transfer student from earning a certificate of achievement if the student meets the state standards.   Official Text and Analysis.
